I am at the Hamburg Sustainability Conference.
The conference announced all food would be vegetarian, some vegan, for sustainability reasons.
At lunch, I sat with people from Zambia & Namibia, who told me that in southern Africa, if you serve a meal with no meat, no fish, you haven’t really fed your guests.
I thought this was a cultural miss, to not consider the meaning others might take from this decision. Especially as Presidents of several countries in the region are speaking.
