off-topic, but it’s ASCAP / BMI fees, not AFSCME.

There’s a BMI office in Austin that allegedly swoops into tiny clubs with tiny bands to issue massive fines if a cover song is played. I’m all for musicians getting paid, but ASCAP / BMI is organized crime.
