I've done it, I created a proper wikipedia account. The onboarding process is weird. They ask you which topics you're interested in (very broad) and then you are given some articles that need "light copyediting".
that sounds good in theory. but those articles in need of "light copyediting" seem to be small catastrophes, where editing a few typos doesn't do anything.
