I didn't have a great place for seed starting in my house, but I put together this grow tent setup that can be shoved in a corner and will not have bright light spilling into the rest of the room. I'll add a second tray when its time to start tomatoes.
The grow tent, grow light, heat mat, and fan came to around $100. Not too pricey considering what I normally spend on seedlings and it should last me for years.
