The EmbedLite API used by Sailfish was once officially supported by Mozilla, but dropped in (I think) 2015. Since then Jolla continued with Gecko anyway. It still amazes me how Jolla pulls this stuff off (but the company really values independence and has the dev chops to do it, in my opinion).",
