Good morning and Happy New Year's Eve. I'm looking forward to having my granddaughter spend the night. We'll have pizza + lots of snacky things tonight, but I won't be staying up until midnight.

There have been years that we'd crack open a bottle of champagne to celebrate the new year, but I don't really feel much like celebrating this time around. The enforced merriment has lost its luster.
