So, my first task this morning was to open the front door, step out, step on a pretty good-sized black snake, emit a tonsil-rattling War Cry before realizing it wasn't a "bad snake" and then dance away from the panicked snake, while not spilling my coffee or dropping my laptop.
I am not sure where the War Cry came from, but somewhere in the oldest most instinctual part of the amygdala.
I was so embarrassed, looking to see if any of my neighbors heard me yell. 😜
