I think nostr sucks and is unfit for use in production systems

That said, it is fun to build on, and it is useful for demos and hackathons because working on nostr is similar to working on a p2p system, but easier. So you can prototype on nostr and then move on to a "real" p2p system afterwards. Which is useful.
