I would say that is not necessary democracy the problem but the application of this system to everything in of our lives. Example: There should not be an education ministry because families and small townships can decide on what is the best way to educate their children.
My thought is that if we go back into having to be a landowner to be able to vote would probably be a good thing. That way you at least have an incentive for the land you inhabit to progress, obviously you would have to include some modern stuff like Wife's that the land is not to their name being able to vote.
Dictatorships are a hard sell for me because my family has been on the losing side at least 3 times.
