It's strange, everytime I tweak the CSS hitting shift-ctrl-R does the trick.
There is another way, though; clicking on "notifications" have the side effect of resetting the timeline timestamp, so going back to the private or public timeline should rebuild the page.
Unless there is another cache in your system, like one in your nginx or apache or whatever.
