Anyway, this is kind of navel gazing.
I may be in debt and homeless/sleeping in my car but at least my not 100% repology score is because of repology "bugs" for lack of a better description?
It could be much worse.
e.g. here's a MacPorts' "maintainer" with 60% of their Portfiles out of date behind upstream:

I'm not suggesting that keeping things up to date is non trivial; I've actually attempted to update at least one of those and it did not go well.
But: that maintainer appears to have not made a single change on GitHub in 2024?
Moreover a lot of the "maintained" Portfiles are years behind upstream.
Fixing that much skew is a lot of effort, to understate it.
