So. My wife has about 40 years in IT, from banking to insurance to distribution to you name it--all data management and computing type stuff I don't understand.
She will be 63 in February.
She came downstairs from her office---"I need to talk to you. I just got laid off."
Then she says, "I have failed once again." She usually has a few days of this.
Sigh. I've played this part many times over her career. They didn't give her a reason, but said they would Monday. WTF?
In this case, I really believe it's her age and that she just had shoulder surgery, combined with growing pains in the company, and year end bean counting, even as they just hired two people with her equivalent backgrounds.
She had good reviews, and a good working relationship with the "team."
Time for my full support to get her through this.
