Sometimes, reddit produces answers that are worth sharing.
Question: Why #Bitcoin faces so much skepticism and/or hate?
Answer: "Being cynical is a good default behavior if you want to be right about most things. Most relationships fail, most business fail, most great investments are scams, most people disappoint you, ect ect.
Being the skeptic lets you say "I told you so" 90% of the time and that really feeds peoples egos.
Believing in something is inherently risky, because most of the time things disappoint you. However, believing in things also is the only way you ever get the life you want.
Skeptics get to be right. Optimists make money."
