At first I thought Nostr missed an opportunity at a common colloquialism and, by adding a simple “a” at the end and making it “Nostra,” it could have been referenced as some iteration of “Ours” or “Our Protocol.” But then I realized the goal here is to attract people to use the protocol and, if outsiders already think crypto-bros are annoying, then a first look at a feed full of some sort of wannabe mob-bro/crypto-bro hybrids would have made for a first impression that would be impossible to overcome.
