Next project- have been asked to write a beaver factsheet because our team is working on a climate resilience plan for a watershed with significant beaver activity and they keep getting asked about what happens if the beaver dam upstream collapses.
Have been told can’t just say beavers are good actually—you just have to put up with them, but include the state law and policy w/r/t when they are considered a nuisance. Fine.
It’s actually an interesting legal/bio/climate problem to consider.
