The mstdn.social fuckup (hotheaded? instance block of mastodon.art deleted all follow relationships between those instances) is another reminder that everyone should add social media data to their regular backup routine (settings -> import/export -> follows).

And for me, it's another reason to work on my cross-platform-relationship-exchange thingy because that could keep track of these things as well and help with restoring follows. Hopefully, later this year.
