It is long since time that the mechanisms of government be placed in the hands of a generation that's not approaching senility. But the Founders set the system up precisely to place power in the hands of older men (Senate, after all, is from Latin senex, old man), who were required to be white and property-owning. The system needs to be repaired and reformed.
