Yes, it's a pity the wind tends to stand still when the temperature falls a lot. Even across a large country such as Finland wind speed is highly correlated.
So when it gets really cold it's a triple whammy of higher consumption, higher market price and (with a heat pump) lower efficiency. If that lasts long it's a problem.
It's better than last winter, but we are not there yet.
