This was an experiment. I got an adapter that allows me to mount a filter in my 152mm scope. It's for light pollution, but I wanted to see how it would do in strong moonlight. Granted this is only three hours. But the verdict is that tonight I use a smaller scope (I can't frame the whole Rosette Nebula in my biggest one) and simply stop shooting after moonrise. Give me a dark sky any day.
