i think i follow jack but i don't follow saylor
pretty much tired of influencoors altogether... their whole thing is built on the subsidies from the fiat spigot via centralised shit like xitter so it really doesn't have the same incentives for them to do it much here
anyway, saylor is so fiat, and i hate conferences too, went to my first this year, bitcoin atlantis, it sucked and i was walking around for like 5 hours and after i watched saylor and lyn talking i wanted to go back to my cosy little semirural abode and be done with this noisy hot nasty city
bitcoin is a technology, and rational thought is why a lot of people are building things to make it better, and at the same time, a lot of tricky bastards are trying to insert bugs and flaws in it that break it
it's a public good, but it's far harder to manipulate than a government or a public opinion, it depends on technically minded people to function and they use rational thought and are all in because of conviction, of the principle of the thing, that its resistance to manipulation is one of its central values
also, i see the same thing with nostr, some people just want to shit on whatever is going on - ironically one of the paid relay operators is notorious for casting shade on the people building the things, and i'm just not so convinced that the rot is that deep, personally
