In terms of average temperature the populated parts of Norway are about 5°C warmer on average during the winter when compared to a relatively northern city like Edmonton.
I'm not sure how much of a difference that actually makes to range, but I do have a friend in Banff (which is south of Edmonton) and they drive an EV during the winter.
It can have a relatively big impact on range, but as long as you still have enough range to comfortably do your daily driving it's not necessarily a problem.
It really depends on how far you need to drive in a day, whether you regularly do long distance trips, whether it's your only vehicle, etc.
