getting annoyed at "expat" as a term

It's a euphemism for "immigrant". But nooooo, *we* can't be "immigrants" because our stupid shitty society has weaponized it and made it toxic. We're to believe that foreigner immigrants are criminal, are here to STEAL our resources, and we're not any of that

And we'll be god-damned if we're going to be made to think about all this, much less apply the term to OURSELVES, so "expat" it is.
