Went to the marsh today! The waterbirds (#1, double-crested cormorants, and #4 great blue heron) were enjoying the cloudy still day, and the shorebirds (#2 greater yellowlegs, and #3 long-billed dowitchers) were prowling the mud flats exposed by the rather low waterline. I have no idea why the water is low: it's been pouring rain this week!
