Personal note: I broke my leg last week. A spiral fracture of the tibia (shinbone) and fibula (calfbone) and a broken ankle too. An orthopedic surgeon put the leg back together and I've been bedrest at home since Friday.
This is the first time in my life I've broken a long bone (fractured a toe or toe along the way, but that's been about it). Not an experience I care to repeat, ever.
