Disclosure has always been my bright line for generative #AI: If you disclaim itโs use, thereโs no ethical problem between you and your audience. There are often other problems, like them being annoyed and/or ignoring the content, but itโs not an ethical issue at that point.
If one actually does this kind of disclosure, one is of course demotivated to use gen AI at all, and in many cases, one will opt to just write the paragraph/email/excerpt rather than write the disclaimer.
