Diary of an ASD Squirrel. Day 61 Friday 29/12/23
TL:DR Sleep deprivation has left me knackered .; NMS with a friend helps in so many ways! ; Project WOOF is yearning to be off the leash!
So the lack of sleep the other night caught up on me last night , I slept for 10 hours !
Woke up made breakfast, did my chores & then played NMS , sadly solo as CDP 🧚♀️ was off helping her Mum. Got a few things caught up on.
Got triggered a couple of times but I’m beginning to dislike recounting every little occurrence in detail.
I hope that the assessment process will lead to a diagnosis , which will lead to some better coping mechanisms I hope.
On the plus side I am finding that having a good ‘mate’ to game with is helping in other areas too! I have managed to resist the more destructive side of mounting frustration due to triggering, far more successfully since I had someone to battle the bad guys with 😊
Gonna hit Project Woof hard next week, I have reached the point where being this overweight is becoming a pain.
I wonder if I have an eating disorder or if I’m just a greedy idiot with little self control.
Why is it that all the ‘coping’ strategies I use are unhealthy for me ?
Final Thoughts:
Good day but not with out a dark outline to highlight the shiny stuff.
Gaming is cathartic & relaxing, especially with a close friend - I am debt to so many lovely people on here !
The end of the year is advancing at a geological rate , my mind is determined to ‘enjoy’ the festive season, maybe because it knows that next Christmas may be very, very different!
