Before switching to a carnivore diet, I ate meat, but not much, because I didn’t fully understand the nutritional importance of meat and animal-based foods. I used to think that all the essential nutrients were in vegetables. Now, I know—and can feel in my body—that animal foods:
- Are the most nutrient-dense
- Contain vitamins and minerals in their most bioavailable form
- Provide all essential amino acids and fatty acids
- Contain no toxins
- Are easy to digest
- Calm the body and mind because they are what we evolved to eat!
