💯 If you weren’t there it’s hard to understand what DJ Unk meant to ATL millennials and the culture of southern hiphop. We wouldn’t have Travis Porter, Roscoe Dash, Migos, or TikTok dances without him.
Folks in the 80’s and 90’s had the mall but we had pep rallies and the skating rink. The skating rinks, middle school and high school stadiums were full of kids walkin’ it out and/or 2 stepping’.
Nothing was fun if DJ Unk, Dem Franchise Boyz, D4L and Soulja Boy weren’t apart of the set list.
