I don't read a book jacket. I read the 1st paragraph then 1st page and decide if I want to read it. (I didn't do that with Randall cause Randall.) So I don't know if this collection has a stated theme or not. But the first three stories involve the characters intersecting with famous people. Here, Howard Hughes. I have a feeling the incident is based on historical truth. I'll research later.
