I never said that explicitly. If you've ever used the Mastodon high contrast theme, you'll notice that the background/foreground colors don't change drastically, but it adds underlines to all link or otherwise interactable text in posts and makes mentions and hashtags use the same color as links, as opposed to that muted gray that is barely distinguishable from normal text.

Of course, the default light theme does have some of these changes built in, like mentions and hashtags being the same color as links, but there are still places where contrast could be improved, i.e. notifications, where the text in non-mentions is very muted, and the hint text in inputs.

But yeah, thanks for invalidating what I'm trying to get to with a witty comment 🙃
