look, regardless of my political leanings, I'm not terribly impressed with Elon Musk. some of the engineers under him is a different story.
anyway, lib & left social media is white-hot and emitting gamma rays over the Sieg Heil Incident, and I can't say I blame 'em. but whatever. it is what it's gonna be.
I will say this about it: I went from knowing nothing about cryptocurrency since BTC-e days, to being able to take payments in BTC, XMR, and many shitcoins, for a reason. the same reason as I learned Spanish the third time (weird life) I did. the same reason I am teaching myself to grow food, and I taught myself to bake bread, only now in middle age, this New Year.
I want the option to GTFO with a realistic means of getting paid abroad. meanwhile I have been indigent with health problems and enormous headwinds for a fucking decade. but I still built the ability to take direct payments anywhere on the globe with internet access during my tribulations, for exactly this reason.
anyway, rant off, but that's why I joined Nostr, to talk to people who've had a similar realization. much of "crypto" *is* a scam. but it enables us to do certain things and potentially get a leg up at, you know, surviving.
