This is why it's so important that we have trustless phones, at least with storage, but even better to the extent that we can get there on the network level metadata through things like DHT, public key cryptography, and proxying technologies. All of which Nostr employs. Graphene OS seems to be a good step in that direction but there's plenty of work to be done.
