i've said it before and I'll say it again and again -

the user experience on other social media sites is a frickin shit show. it's like the matrix, you don't know what true "social" media can be like until you've essentially tried mastodon.

if you go back you see how bad it is. hit by a wall of adverts, random crap appearing on your feed, purposeful addictive chaos, more random accounts that get shoved in your face.

it's a hellscape. i wish more people would leave. everyone deserves better.
