We do need H1B visas, but it has been abused for decades like everything else. I'm not even sure what people are arguing over with the topic as that's not even the issue. The issue is how to reform it, and reduce abuse especially by the tech industry.
Right now leftists are working to conflate the issue with illegal immigration and anything else they can to use as a wedge issue.
