When I first went to DV back in the 1980s, the Ranger handed us a package of reading material about the park. One was a tri-fold brochure with a cartoon on the front. Two convertible top cars — one coming into the park and one leaving, The one coming in had a family on board. The one leaving had a skeleton family on board. The title of the brochure was something like “Summer in Death Valley.”
