I'd love to see it. I'd be more inclined to mess around with ATProto and see what it could do.
I've been doing the same with Nostr. There's LOTS of neat little things integrated. (see: nostrapps.com) However, I keep running into my mindset of "this is a social network, but I am not getting much engagement with my posts compared to AP". Which is turning me off from engaging with it too deeply.
