A response I posted to a group chat about NOSTR in regards to the price hitting 106k and no one seems to care:
"Dopamine receptors for Bitcoiners have been toasted for awhile. Desensitized to the 44% CAGR for10 years, constant reading of twitter for info and expecting the10-100k candles every day for a few years. I'm a plug for NOSTR because it's just people living on the standard now and I am that guy who felt like less of a human. Frying my dopamine receptors definitely became a problem from the obsession.
There's almost no price talk on NOSTR and there and no shit talking which is hard to believe until you realize that enjoyable debates keep the shit talking at bay.
Open source is capable of giving that feeling of calmness because it's a rug free zone. So people are just enjoying that the savings technology is working as expected and proving the medium of exchange is the best we've ever seen by sending sats back and forth.
One example of what's happening there is yesterday someone built an open source AI product for NOSTR called Goose and it's pretty awesome already. So if you're worried about AI as well, the open source approach to it is how the threats of centralization are mitigated. That's a hopeful feeling and more exciting than price fluctuations."
