First one I noticed was the Brazil riots earlier this year where they did like US Jan 6. Was almost a whole day before anyone on Twitter knew about it but it was all over Mastodon. It wasn’t even showing up on any news website for half a day, but was on Mastodon.
For all those “journalists” still on X, they still miss a lot of big news stories.
