I had a powerful "aha!" moment today.
Last week, I published my actual first technical article; a profound milestone for me. Very proud and all that. Read it if you're interested in Nostr E-Commerce and the tech that drives it: https://yakihonne.com/article/naddr1qq257drwx94rzs2lwyey7a33v43nqjj4w4j85q3qnkfqwlz7xkhhdaa3ekz88qqqk7a0ks7jpv9zdsv0u206swxjw9rqxpqqqp65wp3t053 (embed at the end of this post)
Tonight, I've been working on the first NCC (Nostr Commerce Coordinator), which we call C3: The Conduit Commerce Coordinator. Continually, I've been returning to MedusaJS for architectural inspiration; their framework is just simply *chef's kiss*.
It was working with MedusaJS that actually led me to start the NCC article, about two weeks ago. Something about that system hit all the marks for e-commerce... but didn't hit any of the needs of a Nostr relay.
But... an NCC doesn't need to *be* a relay. It needs to be a complete e-commerce system whose persistence and content delivery layer is a Nostr Relay Pool.
Then it struck me like Lightning... MedusaJS is perfect.
It's the perfect framework to kickstart our C3 project. https://github.com/Conduit-BTC/conduit-commerce-coordinator
MedusaJS absolutely shines for e-commerce. The developer experience is unparalleled. The architecture is solid... expertly-designed. The documentation is as-perfect as it gets. The defaults are sensible. We get, out-of-the-box, a complete e-commerce stack: Stores, Products, Orders, integrations with external services, and powerful extensibility.
Thus, Conduit's primary task-at-hand is to transform #MedusaJS into the world's first Nostr Commerce Coordinator.
Special thanks to the folks at #Nostrify for the excellent work on https://nostrify.dev. With Nostrify, we got our Medusa Loader querying a relay in seconds.
There's a lot more to come, so check back often, Argonauts of the Nostrverse!
