Perhaps we could flip our thinking to decide which part is fundamental and which is supplementary.
User-controlled IDs and wallets can be seen as extensions for the browser.
However, we prefer to think of the browser as an extension to IDs and wallets—that is, one’s online self—as the core, with the browser simply providing additional functionality.
