Only one possible quibble: Don't become the evil you oppose. Most of the left are not knowingly / intentionally evil: They're just gaslit and deceived.

That said, "with great power comes great responsibility." Focus the war on those who had--or still have--great power.

Quoting null_user_value (Derp) @ X:

In 2016, the only thing I liked about Trump, was that he made the left mad. I called him a New York Democrat every chance I could get. As a libertarian (that didn't suffer from brain rot) that was pretty entertaining. Didn't vote for him though, because lesser of two evils and all that jazz.

Then I watched the BLM/ACAB movement get support from the libertarians (because, well, who likes cops) despite the obvious warning signs that they weren't dismantling the enforcement arm of the state, just helping the left.

We watched a good man on a subway in New York get arrested and charged for murder when it was self defense. Why? Well, because the police were policing less, but they absolutely were going to still target and ruin the lives of those that dared defend themselves they didn't like.

Then I got to hear all the arguments over how it was a store's "right" to ban me from entering because I refused to get the jab. Some even took it further in the "liberty circles" to say you should be forced for the greater good to do so.

The few who disagreed? DIdn't have any options other than just "disobey" or "lie about it." They weren't willing to look for any other levers to pull.

I also got to hear about how kids story time with sexual predators and deviants was somehow "good actually." This devolved in to "parents should support their kids destroying their bodies."

Now, in 2024, we have a guy who was willing to sit down with LP leaders, talk to libertarians, has people in his close orbit who legitimately have engaged Ron Paul. Perfect? Absolutely not.

There are a lot of Trump policies and ideas I roll my eyes at, but after listening to him actually discuss stuff now, admit where he screwed up, and watching him nearly die for this... I don't really care about where we disagree, the dude's spirit shows, and that's honestly what matters most.

I don't really care if you cancel my libertarian/anarchist card. If you don't trust that's still my end goal, I don't probably care what you think anyway. This is just the first time in my life I've seen actual potential to make progress towards a freer society, and it came right at the cusp of some extremely dark times.

I'm also not here telling you were wrong for not voting, or saying I think less of you. You do you. My wife hasn't voted for POTUS in over 20 years. She wasn't going to this time either, till he took a bullet to the ear. "If they hate him that much they're willing to try and kill him, that's all the endorsement I need."

Overall though, absolutely fuck coming together with those who wanted my business destroyed, me on the streets homeless, and my family driven to the dark ages. Unifying with the people who hate you is how you end up like the LP with Chase Oliver the groomer.

Do not make peace with evil, destroy it.
