Cocoon Nebula is the bright red dot in this image. It is an emission nebula, but it looks like a blazing hot comet with a trail of dark dust flying through this incredibly dense starfield. This is a two-panel mosaic because even my relatively widefield scope could not capture the massive dust trail in a single panel.
