It's hard for us to see changes in human nature from our myopic, lifetime perspectives.
However, consider that over a longer timeline there are profound changes in humanity.
- Not so long ago, Women could not vote or own property
- Slavery was good and normal
- Serfs came with the land like livestock.
Etc etc etc
Even more fundamental changes occurred. Most of us now consider a cause-effect chain rather than an event being a will-of-god
I firmly believe the "Humans are fundamentally evil and will never change" like (dressed up however it is)
Is actually a control technique by;
a) Originating with Catholic church
b) The wealthy
"Know your station, don't even try you sinner"
I reject that as a #progressive.
