honestly? I’m pretty upset that I know a number of people actually believe I support abusers because of my position on involving cops. that’s a complete mischaracterization of what i said in the fucking Sincerity Alliance arguments these people hate me over. my concern is always with the victims. I am an abuse victim, I have been in this scenario, I do know what the fuck I’m talking about. I’ve gone to court with victims who chose to pursue restraining orders because it was the best option they had for their own survival. I know there are desperate times when there is no better choice than to work with the state. the rumors I know exist about me are based on me wanting to take an abundance of caution in even considering involving the state in a volatile situation because I feared for the victim’s life. maybe you think that was misguided of me but that’s a far cry from intentionally supporting an abuser.
