Given that this is clearly the Worst Timeline, I predict that Sam Altman will find a way to use the billions of venture capital he raised for OpenAI by promising to deliver a non-existent general AI to pay Trump to give him free access to copyrighted material, and then to pay Trump to ban rival technologies (anything that actually works), and finally to pay Trump to criminalize the act of telling people how and why LLMs don't do what Altman wants you to believe they do.
