If I may opine, I think adults of my childhood felt that there was an ultimatum that working to stay out of poverty was more important than being more involved with their children during their childhood. 2008 pillaged the lower middle class around here. Non of us saw our parents, but none of us had grandparents either they mostly worked and died young too. ",
