Gary Alan Fine - in his 1983 book "Shared Fantasy: RPGs as Social Worlds" - referred to all tabletop role-playing games as Fantasy Role Playing (FRP) games lumping together #DnD with #Traveller and #GammaWorld. In 1983, the genre divide in gaming must still be new or non-existent.
Not to mention computer games like #Zork and #Wizardry has yet to be known as "CRPGs" back then.
