Sentinel 65X Prototype 4.1 is coming. It is substantially the same as the 4.0, but makes several small but consequential changes:
Redesigned power supply with more headroom on the +5V rail.

Addition of a reset supervisor that also debounces the reset button.

Clock port revamped with DIN 41612 2x16 connector.

Controller ports switched to +5V operation to support the upcoming keyboard adapter and SNES mouse.

Addition of an RGBHV/Audio header to conveniently use the video signal with an HDMI adapter.

Removal of i²c from the design.

Reservation of two pins on the cartridge port for future use with carts that include their own audio chips to mix that audio into the system audio output.

Removal of all redundant parts from 4.0.

You do not *need* to buy this board if you already have the 4.0 -- the changes, as you can see, are very small. However, it has the benefit of being derived directly from 4.0, which is now known to have all the major subsystems working -- CPU, RAM, ROM, PLD, and VERA -- and thus, it is substantially less of a gamble to buy than 4.0 was.
I will produce as many of these boards as people want to buy. The same deal as 4.0 will apply: CAD$35 for each PCB, other parts not included.
All of the socketed parts on 4.1 are the same as on 4.0; you can simply move the chips over, should you decide to upgrade.
For an extra fee of CAD$5 plus the cost of the parts and their shipping, I am willing to order the SMD parts and install them for you using my SMD reflow hot plate. In this case, the SMD parts are the reset supervisor, SD card port, and the three clock oscillators.
