I think younger generations are incredibly familiar—and thus, incredibly comfortable—with interacting online. Not to say older generations aren't, but younger ones grew up having that from the beginning.
When you grow up understanding how to navigate forums, you (I can imagine) grow up building the mindset of how to be social virtually.
Not to mention, they've been through the isolation of COVID during their formative years. They help each other out online because that's what they know.
