I was introduced to them by my first girlfriend. She had some of the wonderful inner sleeves (designed by 4ADs in-house design agency 23 Envelope) framed as art hanging on her wall.
I had the pleasure to see the band live once, when they did a show in the Netherlands. I think this was right after they had left 4AD, to promote Four-Calendar Cafe.
